I absolutely love painting live art!

During the pandemic life became real to a lot of us. House of Blues wanted take a small break from the new norm and warm a few hearts. They decided to broadcast a touch of jazz and a bit of art via internet.

World renowned jazz trumpeter Kermit Ruffins stepped in to fill that void.

Kermit masterfully played a full energy set to an empty HOB stetting. Besides the cameras to live feed, the only person in the room to capture it all on canvas was me.

I was commissioned to paint live while Kermit blessed us with his horn and vocals! It was a soul filling experience and I’m grateful to be a part of and capture the moment in time.
